Giorgos Logothetis was born in Lefkada in 1944. He moved to Sweden in 1964 to study at the Univirsity of Stockholm. There he studied Political Science, Sociology and Journalism. He worked for 15 years at Swedish State Television as a reporter, anchorman and producer of television documentaries.

In 1988, at the request of the Greek Radio Television ' s (ERT) management he returned to Greece in order to help in the setting up of Greece's third television station ET3, from the director's post.
